• The Proprietor for the
Meerscheidt House Bed & Breakfast is A. Neale Rabensburg.
• Check-in time is after 3:00
pm on the day of arrival with check-out by 12:00 noon on the
day of departure. A room deposit, which is equal to 1/2 the
total room rate, is required in advance & becomes
non-refundable 72 hours prior to the 3:00 pm check-in time
on the day of arrival. Credit cars, personal checks or cash
are the acceptable forms of remittance. A 13% State & local
hotel tax will be added to the total room rate. The maximum
number of guest/room is two. Children under the age of 10
are on a case-by-case basis. Rates & policy may vary for
special events, holidays & the length of stay.
• A full American breakfast is
typically served each morning at 8:30 am in the formal
dining room of the Meerscheidt House. Guests, who rise
earlier, will find coffee & juice in the formal living room.
Guests may request an earlier or later breakfast seating
with advance notice. Special food or beverage requirements
may also be requested with proper notice. Varying needs
should be noted in the "Special Requirements" box &
submitted with the Reservation Request Form. A full American
breakfast will often include coffee & juice; a fresh fruit
cocktail; scrambled or poached eggs; biscuits, butter
croissants or sweet breads; jam & butter; & bacon, ham or
sausage. Pancakes or Belgian waffles, as a variance for the
morning menu, will be substituted for the egg and bread
courses. During the cold winter months, hot cereals served
with suggested servings of berries, bananas, brown sugar &
milk or half & half may also become a menu choice.
Caffeinated coffee & orange juice will typically be served
unless advance notice is given. Fresh brewed decaffeinated
coffee, hot regular or herbal teas or other juices such as
tomato, apple, pineapple or grapefruit can be provided as
substitutes for the standard beverage fare.
• Guests are discouraged from
eating meals or drinking beverages, which may stain fabrics,
in their bedrooms. The Proprietor, however, does provide
bottled drinking water & canned soft drinks to his guests &
requests that coasters in the bedrooms be used for beverage
placement in order to protect furniture surfaces. Guests may
not bring personal coffee makers or other heating appliances
into their rooms for beverage or food preparation. Microwave
use is available to guests during times when the kitchen is
not occupied by the Proprietor or his staff for bed &
breakfast operations. Guest consumption of prepared food or
beverages should be limited to the dining table areas
located in the kitchen and the public areas of the house.
• Smoking is not permitted on
the premises except outside & on the porches. The burning of
candles or incense devices is also prohibited.
• Upon departure, guests will
be provided a written invoice enumerating all charges,
deposit credits & the balance owed. If a guest chooses to
remit the balance owed with a personal or check, then
his/her check shall be made payable to the Proprietor, Neale
Rabensburg. Guests, who also secure their reservation in
advance with a check, will make that deposit check payable
to Neale Rabensburg. A deposit check should be received
within 7 days from the date & time noted on the Reservation
Confirmation notice or prior to the guest's arrival date,
whichever date is sooner.
• The Meerscheidt House Bed &
Breakfast has no curfews or restrictions with regards to
late night arrival/returning times. However, the Proprietor
requests that all guests, who choose to use the public areas
of the house during late hours, be mindful of other guests,
who may have retired earlier. |
